Summary: Add a scrolling line of recent or hand-picked posts under the navigation or in the footer, choose its posts and position, and set its speed and look.
The posts ticker is a thin line of headlines that scrolls sideways across the page. The free theme has two: one around the navigation and one in the footer. They're set up the same way, each on its own **Posts Ticker** tab.

Header ticker
: [[Appearance > Customize > Navigation]], **Posts Ticker** tab. Off by default. It can sit above the navigation, below it, or below the page header.
Footer ticker
: [[Appearance > Customize > Footer]], **Posts Ticker** tab. On by default. It can sit above the call to action, at the top of the footer, or at the bottom.

If a line of moving headlines appears at the bottom of every page and you don't want it, this is where it comes from. Turn off **Enable Posts Ticker** on the Footer tab.
## Choose the posts
**Posts Source** takes the latest posts, sticky posts, random posts, or posts you pick by hand. **Number of Posts** sets how many run through the line, eight by default.
## Tune how it moves and looks

- **Layout** (default: boxed): Keep the ticker inside the site container, or run it the full width.
- **Loop Duration** (default: 60): Seconds for one full pass. Lower is faster.
- **Scroll Direction** (default: left): Which way the line moves.
- **Pause on Hover** (boolean, default: on): Stops the line while the pointer is over it, so a reader can click.
- **Show Thumbnail** (boolean, default: on): A small image per item, with its own size and shape.
- **Show Category** (boolean, default: on): The primary category label on each item.
- **Item Separator** (default: none): A dot, pipe, slash, dash, an icon, or your own text between items.
- **Item Gap** and **Ticker Padding**: Spacing between items and around the bar.

## With Pro
Pro adds a source switch for each ticker in Theme Options: off, native (the ticker described here), advanced (a full post listing with every listing setting), an Elementor template, or a block pattern. Native stays the default, so installing Pro doesn't change a ticker you've already set up.
The ticker moves too fast to read
Raise **Loop Duration**. With more posts in the line, each one gets less time on screen at the same duration.
I set up the header ticker and can't see it
**Enable Posts Ticker** is off by default for the header. Turn it on at the top of the **Posts Ticker** tab under Navigation.
