Summary: Add domains to a license you already own, move to the unlimited plan, or buy another product, without reinstalling anything.

These are the commercial actions you can take from [your account](https://hub.jkdevstudio.com/login) without contacting anybody: **add activation units to a license you already have, move to unlimited, upgrade the tier, or buy another product**.

Each starts from the card for the item or the license in question, so the product is already selected when you get to checkout.

**What you already paid is applied as credit.**

The offers in your account are priced against that licence, so an upgrade costs the difference rather than the full price. A public pricing page cannot do this, because it does not know which licence you are holding.

</div>

## Adding activation units

**One unit is one domain.** Your plan came with a fixed number, and this is how you raise it.

When you need it: every slot is in use and another site is waiting.

What changes: the number of domains the license allows. **Nothing changes on the sites already running.**

<div data-callout="info">

**The key does not change.**

The same string simply gets a larger allowance, so there is nothing to re-enter and nothing to reinstall on the sites you already have live.

</div>

Before you buy one, two things are worth checking:

- **A staging site does not spend a unit.** Every license carries one free staging slot on top of the domains you paid for, so a test environment is not what is filling your allowance.
- **Freeing a domain frees its unit.** If one of the sites in the list is a site you no longer run, deactivating it puts the slot back at no cost.

## Moving to unlimited

The difference from buying individual units is worth working out before you decide. **Individual units raise the ceiling by a known number. Unlimited removes the ceiling.**

The total is shown before you confirm, and the new allowance applies as soon as the purchase completes.

## Upgrading the tier

A different question from the count. **The tier decides what the license does**: automatic updates and the integration packages come with Premium and Agency, and not with the Regular tier a marketplace purchase carries.

If you bought on Envato, the upgrade offer is on the license in your account, credited with the author share of what you paid there.

## Buying another product

From your account into checkout, and the new item appears in your list once payment is complete. It arrives with its own license, its own documentation and its own version history.

The dashboard also carries the rest of the catalog, so this does not start on the website.

## After any of these

Go back to your licenses and confirm three things: the new item is listed, the activation limit is what you expect, and the domains in use are the ones you think they are.

## Common questions

<details><summary>Do I get a discount for adding activations later?</summary>

The price is always shown before you confirm, and whether adding later costs the same as buying up front depends on the current pricing rather than on a rule we can state permanently here.

</details>

<details><summary>Will my existing sites be disturbed?</summary>

No, they keep their activations and their settings and do not need to be touched at all, which is the point of the allowance living on the key rather than on the sites.

</details>

<details><summary>Can I reduce the number of activations?</summary>

Releasing a domain frees its slot at any time, while reducing what you purchased is a support question rather than something the account can do on its own.

</details>

<details><summary>Does unlimited cover client sites?</summary>

It covers the number of domains, which is the limit unlimited removes, and what you may build on those domains is governed by the licence terms rather than by the count.

</details>

<details><summary>Can I do this with an Envato license?</summary>

Yes, units and upgrades are offered on an Envato licence from the same screen and the marketplace purchase counts as credit toward an upgrade, though **adding units leaves the tier as Regular** and simply allows more domains, so taking the Premium offer is what changes what the licence actually does.

</details>

<details><summary>The new allowance has not appeared</summary>

Reload your account first, since the two sides settle at slightly different speeds, and if the purchase is listed but the limit is not then open a ticket with the order reference and we will reconcile it.
