## Signing in to your account

Summary: Why you never registered, how to sign in after buying on Envato or directly, and why the purchase email decides what you see.

You do not register separately. The account appears by itself, either when you buy or when you first activate a license.

## Where your account came from

:::deflist

You bought on Envato
: The account is created at your first license activation. After that you can sign in either the quick way, through Envato, or the ordinary way with the same email address your Envato purchase is under.

You bought directly from us
: The account is created immediately after payment. The email with your product contains a passwordless sign in link, so your first visit is one click from your inbox. After that, ordinary email sign in works.

You registered first and bought later
: Also fine. If the purchase used the same email address, the product attaches to your account automatically, with nothing to link by hand.

<div data-callout="warning">

**The purchase email is the key to everything.**

If you bought with a work address and sign in with a personal one, you will see an empty account with no error to explain it. That is the most common reason for "where are my purchases".

## Signing in

Several routes lead to [the same account](https://hub.jkdevstudio.com/login), not to different ones. Signing in through Envato and signing in with that same email address land you in the same place.

Recovering access is the standard email flow.

If you no longer have access to the purchase email address at all, that is a support question and it is resolved by hand.

## What is inside

## Common questions

<details><summary>My account is empty</summary>

Almost always the wrong email address, so check which one received the purchase confirmation and sign in with that.

</details>

<details><summary>Can I change the email on my account?</summary>

Yes, in the account settings, and if you have lost access to the old address entirely then open a ticket instead, because that one is resolved by hand.

</details>

<details><summary>Do I need an account if I bought on Envato?</summary>

Not for activation, which works with Envato sign in alone, though an account is how you manage licences and open support requests from our side.

</details>

<details><summary>Can two people share one account?</summary>

The account holds the licences, so sharing it means sharing ownership, and for a team the practical arrangement is one owner with a shared sign in method.

</details>

<details><summary>Sign in does not work at all</summary>

Try the other route first, meaning Envato if email failed and email if Envato failed, then confirm you are using the address the purchase confirmation went to and use password recovery. Only after all three does this become a support question.
