This page is a short guide to the legal documents behind every jkdevstudio product. It picks out the points people most often need, and each one links to the full text on the main site. Where this page and a policy ever differ, the policy is what applies.
| Document | What it governs |
|---|---|
| Terms & Conditions | The license, what you may and may not do, piracy, liability |
| Support Policy | How long support lasts, how much of it you have, hours, scope |
| Refund Policy | When and how a refund applies, for direct and Envato purchases |
| Privacy Policy | What data we collect and why |
| Cookie Policy | The cookies the main site sets |
#Buying means you agree to the terms
Buying, downloading or using a jkdevstudio product means the Terms & Conditions apply to you, together with the Support Policy and the Refund Policy they point to. By completing a purchase you confirm you have read them.
That makes the time to disagree before you buy, not after. All of these are published before checkout:
- how long support lasts and how many tickets your license includes
- support hours and how fast replies come
- what support covers and what it does not
- when a refund applies and when it does not
An objection to one of these raised after the purchase, such as "I did not know support has a ticket allowance" or "I expected replies on weekends", is not grounds for an exception or a refund. The rules were there to read. If something is unclear, ask before buying: pre-sale questions are free and never counted against anything.
Short on time? Ask an AI assistant to read the policies for you.
Every policy page is listed in jkdevstudio.com/llms.txt, the index AI tools use to find a site's content, and each page is served as clean Markdown to any tool that asks for it. Give ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or your assistant of choice the link and ask for a summary of what matters to you. The summary helps you decide; the page itself is still what applies.
#The license
- A direct license is perpetual. The product keeps working on the sites it is activated on, and every version released while the license is in good standing stays yours. Nothing expires and nothing has to be renewed to keep a site running.
- Premium covers one activation, Agency covers unlimited activations for sites you own or build for clients. More sites on Premium means buying more activations.
- An Envato purchase carries Envato's own license terms. A direct license includes every demo and every integration, while an Envato purchase gets only the ones marked available to Envato, and it does not include automatic updates, priority support or feature requests. Voting on published roadmap entries stays open to everybody, and the list may grow as new features are added to the direct channel. See What an Envato license covers.
- You may not redistribute or resell the files, share a license key, put a product on more sites than the license covers, or interfere with license verification.
#Support
Support is separate from the license. When it ends, the product keeps working and only access to the support queue ends.
- Direct: 12 months of priority support, with a ticket allowance per tier. Envato: 6 months of limited support and one ticket, answered after direct tickets.
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 21:00 Kyiv time. Most tickets get a first reply within one business day.
- Covered: using the product, confirmed bugs, installation, activation and updates. Bugs never count against your allowance.
- Not covered: customization and custom code, third party plugins and services, hosting and server setup, general WordPress help, and cleaning hacked sites.
- Extending: support is bought or extended per license in your Hub account.
#Refunds
- Direct purchase: a refund within 14 days, with no questions asked. Between 14 and 30 days, requests are decided case by case. After 30 days a refund is no longer offered.
- Envato purchase: the request goes to Envato, not to us. It is reviewed within 14 days on whether something is actually wrong with the product. Changing your mind, the product not being to your taste, or a problem with your own hosting does not count.
- A refund can be declined when the license was used outside its terms, when a lot of our work was already delivered, or when refunds are being cycled.
- After a refund, the license is revoked. You must remove the product from every site and delete your copies of its files. Updates and support end with it.
#Modified product code
Editing the theme or plugin files directly puts that installation outside support, because we cannot diagnose code we did not write and cannot see. The next update also replaces the edited files. If something is wrong on an edited install, restore the original files first and check again. A child theme, our hooks and filters, and the settings are the supported ways to customize, as explained in Customizing the code: limits and responsibility. Larger changes are paid custom work, separate from support.
#Nulled copies and bypassing the license
Using a nulled or pirated copy of our product ends any relationship between you and us.
There is no support, no updates, no refund and no help if the copy compromises your site, which nulled themes very often do.
The Terms & Conditions are direct about the consequences. Anything built to get past the license check, such as a key generator, a patched build or a key that was not issued to you, is a breach whether or not it works. When we find it:
- the license and every activation on it are deactivated, and the Hub account is closed
- DMCA takedown notices go to the host and the CDN serving the site
- an abuse report goes to the domain registrar, and removal requests go to search engines
- where the scale warrants it, the case is reported to the authorities
In most countries getting past a technical protection measure is an offense of its own, separate from the copyright infringement. Running a pirated copy can put your domain and your business in legal trouble at any moment. See Why nulled copies do not work.
#Conduct and where we do not sell
Support asks for ordinary courtesy. Frustration is fine; sustained abuse or threats can end access to support and to a refund. We also do not sell to or support Russia, Belarus or occupied Ukrainian territory, as the Terms explain in full.
#Common questions
Does the theme stop working when support ends?
No. The license is perpetual and every version you already have stays yours. Only access to the support queue ends, and support can be extended in your Hub account at any time.
I bought directly and it is not what I needed. Can I get my money back?
Within 14 days of a direct purchase, yes, without having to explain. After that, and on any Envato purchase, "I did not like it" is not a reason on its own, and the request is judged on what is actually wrong with the product. See the Refund Policy.
I did not know about the ticket allowance or the support hours
Both are published in the Support Policy before checkout, and buying confirms you accepted them. We still answer everybody, and a confirmed bug never counts against your allowance.
I bought on Envato. Can you refund me directly?
No. Envato took the payment, so only Envato can return it. Open the request through the Envato Help Center, and we answer whatever Envato asks us as the author.
Is an AI summary of the policies legally binding?
No. It is a quick way to understand the documents before buying. The text on the policy pages is what applies.
Can the policies change after I buy?
The pages are updated from time to time, and the date at the top of each shows the last change. A change never applies backwards: a purchase keeps the terms it was made under, and a running support period keeps its ticket allowance.
#Still stuck
Open a support ticket and say what you tried and where it stopped. Your product, your domain, a screenshot and the exact message you saw are usually enough to settle it in one reply.
