A review here is a layer over an ordinary post rather than a separate content type. You write the article as usual and attach a score to it. Nothing has to be maintained as two parallel lists.
The difference from general purpose review plugins: this layer was developed alongside the theme, so the score looks like the rest of the site without adjustment, instead of arriving as somebody else's block in somebody else's style.
Why it is packaged as an integration when it is built in: so a site that does not publish reviews can switch it off and not carry it.
#What a review is made of
- Criteria
Each with its own weight and score. The final rating is calculated from them rather than typed in by hand, so it never drifts away from the table underneath it.
- Supporting fields
A short verdict, pros and cons, an image of the thing being reviewed, attribution, a link to the source or product page, and additional parameters.
- AI assistance
For filling and summarizing, when the AI integration is enabled.
Scores are stored on a 0 to 100 scale and printed in whichever display scale you configure, so moving a site from five stars to a ten point scale is a settings change rather than a re-entry of every review.
#Where the score appears
Three places, and it is worth checking all three when you first set one up.
In the post: the criteria table and a summary card in the body of the article, positioned where you choose.
In listings: the score on the post card, because the rating is wired into post listings. That is what turns a reviews section into a section rather than a set of unconnected pages.
In the reviews archive: a collection of only the reviewed material.
#Structured data for search engines
The integration does not only draw the score. It writes it into the post's structured data: the ordinary article markup gains a review with its rating.
The consequence is the point. A search engine sees that this is a review and what it scored, instead of seeing an article with a number somewhere inside it. You can confirm what it emits with Google's Rich Results Test.

#Common questions
Can I set the overall score directly?
The total comes from the criteria and their weights, deliberately, because a hand typed total goes stale the moment somebody edits a criterion and nothing on the page would tell you it had.
Do I need a separate post type for reviews?
No, a review is a normal post with a review attached, which is also why a reviewed post keeps appearing in your ordinary feeds and archives.
Will the score show up in Google?
The markup is correct and present, and whether a search engine chooses to display a rich result is its own decision that no plugin can promise you.
What happens if I deactivate the integration?
The review data stays in the database untouched and only the rendering stops, so switching it back on restores every score exactly as it was.
The score is missing in one of the three places
Check them in order, because where it stops tells you what to fix: showing on the post but not on the listing card is a setting on that listing rather than anything to do with the review, and missing everywhere usually means the post was never flagged as a review in the first place.
