Set up the footer

Theme options

The footer is at AppearanceCustomizeTheme OptionsFooter. Style picks the layout, and each block below it has its own toggle, so the panel is where you decide what the footer holds rather than how it looks.

#Pick a style

Removes the footer entirely when off.

One of Default, Minimal, Simple, or Classic. The styles carry different blocks, so a section you turned on may not appear in every one of them. Switch styles with the live preview open to see what each includes.

#Switch the blocks on or off

Every block in the list below is a toggle in the same panel, with its text fields underneath.

Form section

A subscribe or contact block. Give it a title and paste the shortcode of your form plugin into Form Shortcode, for example a Contact Form 7 or Mailchimp shortcode.

Contact section

A title, a subtitle, and up to three extra contact entries, each with an icon, a title, and a text line.

Widgets section

Shows the footer widget area. Fill it at AppearanceWidgets: the Footer sidebar area feeds most styles, and the Classic style uses Footer sidebar 2.

Copyright section

The copyright line. The text itself is set in the Branding section, not here.

Social section

The social icons. Add the profiles once in the Social section and they appear here.

Additional menu

The links printed beside the copyright. Build the menu at AppearanceMenus and assign it to the Copyright Menu location.

Instagram section

A feed block that takes the shortcode of your Instagram plugin, plus an optional button with its own text and link.

The footer logo and the website name and info lines are also in this panel. Leave the name and info empty and the theme falls back to your site title and tagline from SettingsGeneral.

The copyright line is at AppearanceCustomizeTheme OptionsBranding, in Copyright Notice. Until you change it, the footer prints the theme default, which names the demo site rather than yours.

Use {year} anywhere in the text and the theme replaces it with the current year, so the line does not go stale:

© {year} Your Company. All rights reserved.
