Comments
The comments area under a single post can run on WordPress comments, Disqus, or Facebook. Set it in AppearanceCustomizeTheme OptionsSingle Post under Comments Source.
#Native and wpDiscuz
Native / wpDiscuz is the default and covers both cases.
WordPress comments are styled by the theme out of the box. Plugins that replace the comment template, wpDiscuz among them, take over that same area, so activating one is all that is needed. Leave the source on native.
#Disqus
Choose Disqus and enter your shortname. It is the part of your Disqus admin URL before .disqus.com.
Choose Facebook and enter an app ID from Meta for Developers. Facebook comments do not load without one, which is why the theme falls back to native comments when the field is empty.
Comments left through Facebook live on Facebook. They are not stored in your database and do not appear in Comments in the admin.
#Turning comments off
Single Post Comments in the same section hides the area completely, whichever source is selected. To close comments on one post only, use the WordPress discussion setting on that post.
