Upgrading from v2

Features

#What Changed

Nitrol PRO 3.0 is a complete rebuild — new admin interface, new settings storage, and a new internal architecture. The good news: all your existing settings are preserved automatically when you upgrade.

#Migration Process

When you activate v3.0 for the first time, the plugin runs a one-time migration:

  1. It detects your old settings stored by the jkdevkit framework
  2. Each setting is mapped to its new key name
  3. Values are converted to the new format and saved
  4. The old settings remain in the database as a backup

No manual action is required. Your optimizations continue working exactly as before.

The migration runs silently in the background on first activation. You can verify your settings carried over by visiting each settings page and confirming the toggles match what you had before.

#Breaking Changes

  • jkdevkit framework is no longer needed — you can safely deactivate and delete it after upgrading
  • PHP 8.1+ is now required — if your host runs PHP 7.x, update PHP before upgrading Nitrol PRO
  • The admin URL has changed — any saved bookmarks to the old settings pages will redirect automatically

#Rollback

If you need to revert to v2 for any reason:

  1. Deactivate Nitrol PRO 3.0
  2. Go to your CodeCanyon downloads page and select the previous version from the version dropdown
  3. Install the older version
  4. Your original v2 settings are still in the database — v2 will pick them up automatically
If you've been using v3.0 for a while before deciding to roll back, note that any new settings added in v3.0 won't exist in v2 — those changes will be lost on rollback.
