Post Likes

Monogram includes a built-in post like system that lets visitors show appreciation for your blog posts with a simple click. No plugins needed - it works right out of the box.

#How It Works

On each blog post, you'll see a heart icon that visitors can click to "like" the post. It a quick, lightweight way for readers to engage with your content without needing to leave a comment.

• One click to like, another click to unlike - it's that simple
• No login required - anyone can like a post, even if they don't have an account on your site
• Likes are tracked per browser, so the same visitor won't accidentally like a post twice from the same device

#Where Like Counts Appear

The total number of likes for each post can appear in several places:

• On the single post page - next to the heart icon, showing the total count
• On blog archive cards - some layouts display the like count alongside other post metadata

#How Likes Are Stored

• Like counts are saved on your server, so they persist even if a visitor clears their browser data
• The visitor like status (whether they've liked a specific post) is stored in their local browser storage - this is how the theme remembers to show a filled heart instead of an empty one
• If a visitor switches to a different browser or device, they'll be able to like the post again, but the total count on the server remains accurate
