How Verba uses Elementor

Verba is not an Elementor theme. The theme works completely without Elementor, and no feature of it requires the plugin to be installed.

This page exists because seeing "Elementor supported" leads people to build the whole site in it, then look inside Elementor for the header, the colors, and the fonts, not find what they expect, and conclude the theme is broken. Here is where the boundary runs, and why it runs there.

#What Elementor does here

One thing: the content of pages. The front page, landing pages, any page you create. It is a good drag-and-drop editor, and that is the role it is supported in.

In every studio demo that uses Elementor, only page content is built with it. The header, the footer, the archives, and the post page are not.

The set of elements is the same as in the block editor: one declaration, handed to both. See Elementor widgets and Registered blocks.

#What Elementor does not do here

Elementor global colors, global fonts, and global settings are not read by the theme. That is not an oversight: the theme appearance comes from its own tokens. See Basic settings and Match the styles to your brand.

Content width comes from the theme, not from Elementor. See Elementor overrides, where that is set out with the rest.

The header, the footer, dark mode, typography, and page headers are all the theme layer. Where to look instead: The header, The footer, Basic settings.

In one line: no global Elementor options are supported. For this theme, Elementor is a drag-and-drop content editor and nothing more.

#What about the header, footer, archive, and post

They can be overridden, and that has its own page: Elementor overrides. Only the fact that it is possible belongs here, along with the note that it is not the recommended route.

#Why building the entire site in Elementor is not advised

A reason rather than a verdict. A full Elementor build pushes page weight up and costs you speed, and the interaction between its global layers and the theme is unstable.

The studio position, stated plainly: performance, accessibility, and SEO are treated as part of the work rather than as options. Elementor in the role of a whole-site builder costs more on those than it gives back.

None of that is a criticism of Elementor or of the people who use it. It is a description of the trade you are making, so you can make it deliberately.
