Mega menus - Verba

A columns mega menu opens a wide panel instead of a narrow list, with the links grouped into columns. Past a handful of sections, a single column stops being a menu and becomes a list nobody reads.

#Build the structure first

The columns come from the item's nested items, so build the menu structure at AppearanceMenus before you turn anything on:

• Each item one level under the top-level item becomes a column, with its name as the column heading.
• Items nested under that one become the links in its column.
• An item with nothing nested under it becomes a column on its own, a single link.

#What to put in it

Enable banner column adds a banner card with an image and a link as one more column.

Show subtitles in submenu puts each item's Page subtitle under its name. A short line often explains a section better than its name does.

The panel opens but is blank

The item has no nested items. The columns come from them.

Can I set the number of columns directly?

No. There's one column per item nested directly under the top-level item, plus one for the banner. Add or regroup items to change the count.
