This article covers functionality available to customers on the Pro version.

The marketing bar is a narrow strip at the very top of the site, above the navigation: a short message with a link, or several messages in rotation. It sits above everything else, which is why one message there works better than five.

#Turn it on

Choose the source

At VerbaTheme OptionsNavigation, on the General tab, set Marketing Bar Source to Marketing Bar. It's Off by default. Elementor Template or Block Pattern puts your own content in that position instead.

Write the messages

The Marketing Bar tab appears on the same page. Pick a Content Mode, then fill in the message group it opens.

The bar needs the native header: with Navigation Source on anything else, the source field isn't offered.

Content Mode starts on Rotating Messages, so the Single Message group is hidden until you switch to it, and Messages and Rotation disappear when you do.

Visibility: The template or pattern picker for those sources, Content Mode, and the close button: Dismissible and Close Button Label.
Messages: The list of messages, each with a pill label, the message, and a link. Rotating mode only.
Single Message: Pill Label, Message, Link Label, and Link URL. Single mode only.
Rotation: Transition, Time Per Message (5 seconds by default), and Pause on Hover. Rotating mode only.
Dismissal: Where a dismissal is stored, how long it lasts (7 days by default), Show Again After Content Changes, and separately Show to Administrators and Administrator Dismissal.
Appearance: Show On (desktop, tablet, phone), the outer frame, layout and custom width, padding, rounded corners, and the background, including your own background and text colors.

When a visitor closes the bar, it stays closed on every page for the dismissal period.

#Mobile

There's little room in a top strip on a phone, and a long message behaves differently there than in your preview. Write for the narrow screen first, then check the wide one.

#Where else it can go

The bar also exists as the Marketing Bar block and Elementor widget, so you can place it outside the header too. See Registered blocks and Elementor widgets.

Don't confuse it with the call to action above the footer, which closes the page, or Before you go, which appears when somebody is leaving. For click tracking, see Marketing surfaces and analytics.

I changed the message and returning visitors still don't see the bar

They dismissed the previous one. Turn on Show Again After Content Changes.

I can't see the bar as an administrator

Check Show to Administrators and Administrator Dismissal in the Dismissal group. They're separate so you can test without your own earlier dismissal getting in the way.
