The posts ticker
The posts ticker is a thin line of headlines that scrolls sideways across the page. The free theme has two: one around the navigation and one in the footer. They're set up the same way, each on its own Posts Ticker tab.
- Header ticker
AppearanceCustomizeNavigation, Posts Ticker tab. Off by default. It can sit above the navigation, below it, or below the page header.
- Footer ticker
AppearanceCustomizeFooter, Posts Ticker tab. On by default. It can sit above the call to action, at the top of the footer, or at the bottom.
If a line of moving headlines appears at the bottom of every page and you don't want it, this is where it comes from. Turn off Enable Posts Ticker on the Footer tab.
#Choose the posts
Posts Source takes the latest posts, sticky posts, random posts, or posts you pick by hand. Number of Posts sets how many run through the line, eight by default.
#Tune how it moves and looks
Keep the ticker inside the site container, or run it the full width.
Seconds for one full pass. Lower is faster.
Which way the line moves.
Stops the line while the pointer is over it, so a reader can click.
A small image per item, with its own size and shape.
The primary category label on each item.
A dot, pipe, slash, dash, an icon, or your own text between items.
Spacing between items and around the bar.
#With Pro
Pro adds a source switch for each ticker in Theme Options: off, native (the ticker described here), advanced (a full post listing with every listing setting), an Elementor template, or a block pattern. Native stays the default, so installing Pro doesn't change a ticker you've already set up.
The ticker moves too fast to read
Raise Loop Duration. With more posts in the line, each one gets less time on screen at the same duration.
I set up the header ticker and can't see it
Enable Posts Ticker is off by default for the header. Turn it on at the top of the Posts Ticker tab under Navigation.
